Spammer can collected Paypal members address when visiting order
form page, and snif the email address under the Paypal buttons.

Could you fix this on future release of your system.

If that's a concern, you can set "business" to your referral code for Single Item Purchase and Subscriptions.

I put the referral code, and it's seem to work fine.

My concern is more about the "Feed my spam" this open.

How to have this fix by Paypal?

Any hope?

I don't want to start a long and sterile thread on that. I just want to know, where to go, to have Paypal change this on their server.

I already send a report to Paypal, but I don't received any feedback, as usual, it's take hard work to change bad habit.

The referral work fine, but I don't understand I have to change
that? When, the solution already exist, I don't understand the reason Paypal don't use it at large and continue to spare the email of there customer.

Not a big surprise to read all the SPAM litterature, when this problem is take so sweet.

Have a nice day.

Dear Patrick,

"If that's a concern..."

That remark reveals a naive idea about spam and spammers. Your showed attitude has resulted in free advertising for PayPal in the Usenet group alt.spam:
http://groups.google....news.dfncis.de

You should of course change the *default* ASAP.

Regards,
Gunnar

How does one discover their "affiliate id"? I searched PayPal's online HELP Section for the phrase "affiliate id" and also the single word "affiliate" but the only thing that came up was something about "Reputation Numbers", which doesn't seem to have ANY connection to this thread's topic.

Thanks.

Yes, where can I find my affiliate id, and can I use said id in within my add to cart buttons?

Sorry to read that. I don,t have any answer for the cart button. The trick work only with the donation or single item.

Go to Paypal, and ask when the problem will be correct.

Also, you can complain to eTrust.

Correct, using the referral code for "business" only works for Single Item Purchase. We're looking at expanding it to all payment interfaces.

Complaining to eTrust seems inappropriate.

Have any others suggestions?

I don't see any hope on the Paypal side.
