I noticed that the variables listed in the Subscriptions manual are completely different than the subscription variables on this page: https://www.paypal.c...iptions-outside

For example in the manual there is P3 and on the page above there is period3. Whats the difference and which do I use?

Thanks, Justin.

a3, t3 and p3 are used in the "signup" button. They map to amount3 and period3 in the IPN.

Justin -

The page you are referring to is talking about IPN variables for Subscriptions, rather than HTML variables. We need to update that page and make it more clear (especially since the names of the variables are slightly different in IPN than they are in HTML).

The Subscriptions manual has the correct HTML variable names for implementing a Subscriptions payment button. The IPN manual has information about IPN variables that are used for IPN messages used with Subscriptions.

hope that's clear as mud ;)
