Before I configure my program to process information to send to PayPal, is there a character limit paypal can receive in a single item hyperlink? I want to send the product selected along with information that would pre-fill the form for new PayPay users. Since this will be sent from my program and not a browser, there shouldn't be a problem. Does anyone else here see any potential "gotchas?"

PayPal does not impose a limit but I've heard that various limits may exist. You might consider a POST instead which has no limit. If you need to do a redirect, you can do so like this:

<!-- <script language="JavaScript"><!--
function submitForm() {

<body onLoad="javascript:submitForm()">
<form method=post name="myForm" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr">
<input type="hidden" name="business" value="payments@mysite.com">
<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick">
