I would like to use a text link instead of a buy button on my website. What is the code to create a text link that goes directly to my paypal checkout page?

Thank you,

Here is an 'add to cart' link that uses text.

ADD TO CART <a href="#" onclick="window.open('https://www.paypal.com/cart/add=1&business=YOUREMAILADDRESS&item_name=test&item_number=123&amount=10.00&shipping=4.00&shipping2=3.00&handling=2.00&image_url=https%3A//www.paypal.com/images/paypal_logo.gif&return=http%3A//iva.tech.nu&cancel_return=http%3A//iva.tech.nu','paypal','width=600,height=400,scrollbars,location,resizable,status');">Click Here to Pay</a>

For a Single Item Purchase link, you can use the PayPal Button Factory and when you create the button, you will see the email URL you can use as a link for text rather than an image.

Using FORMs instead of links is generally advised as it eliminates any encoding issues.
