Hello all!

I am testing the IPN process and receiving INVALID response from Paypal. Having read the IPN manual the FAQ indicates that

"I must post all of the form variables exactly as you received them, and maintaining the same order."

Using the popular ColdFusion script from www.easycfm.com I am returning all the form fields but I am unsure of the proper order. Because of the peculiar way that ColdFusion handles field names the formfield "payment_date" is not recognized properly so I have to manually insert it. I'm not sure if I am placing it in the proper place.

Can anyone tell me the proper order for the field names?

Regards,
Robert

Never mind! I've got my script working fine now!

To follow up: the fields do *not* needed to be posted back in the same order.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the follow-up! I was using a manual date 10.17.2002 so that statement might be corrected by now. If not, it might be good to change the manual to reflect the fact that it is not necessary to return the variables in the same order.

Regards,
Robert
