IPN Server demand Options

Hello,

I'm trying to add paypal and IPN to my homepage.
By now i just wanted the paypal test tool to send an IPN to my IPN handler and the handler to send me an email, but i don't receive anything..
If i open the handler in my browser it works, so i guess it has something to do with server I'm testing on ( it's Strato ).

So I'm wondering what demands IPN has on the server..

Does anyone know what demands IPN has on a server ?
Such as SSL compability etc..
